On Thursday, January 14, 2015, Deputies were able to catch up with a woman who had been on the run for several months. Tiffany Shawnda Adkins, 26 years old, of Warren, Ohio was arrested on multiple charges in the Camp Creek area by Deputy Chris Osborne. Adkins was a fugitive wanted in Ohio on drug related charges. She was also wanted in Boone County in relation to several incidents where she successfully fled from law enforcement. One of the incidents in particular, Deputies attempted to pull Adkins over for a minor traffic violation in the Nellis area on December 11, 2015. She refused to stop and fled in the vehicle into the Ashford area. During the vehicle pursuit, Adkins used the vehicle she was driving to ram one of our cruisers so she could get away. After ramming the cruiser, she was able to make it a short distance before fleeing on foot. Once officers processed the vehicle she was driving that night, it was determined the vehicle was stolen from the Julian area. More recently on Thursday evening, deputies went to a residence where they believed Adkins may be staying. When officers pulled in, Adkins ran out the back door and through the creek in an attempt to evade arrest. Deputy Osborne was able to catch up with the fugitive a short distance later and safely place her into custody.
