Boone County Sheriff's Deputies are looking for a man wanted in connection with the Sexual Assault of a twelve year old female.  Gregory Allen Edwards, 24 years old, from Charleston is wanted on outstanding warrants for four (4) counts of Third Degree sexual Assault.  His last know address is Maryland Avenue in Charleston.

         A complaint filed over the weekend with patrol deputies Corporal Jarrell and Osborne, led to a more extensive criminal investigation by Corporal Foster of our Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Unit. During the investigation it was determined Edwards had sex with the twelve (12) year old female on at least four (4) occasions during the month of January, 2016.

         Once Foster began this investigation, he was able to link Edwards to at least one other sexual assault case he is currently working.  Charges on that case and possibly others are likely in the future.  It is possible that Mr. Edwards is still in Boone County staying with friends either in the Comfort or Van areas.

        Sheriff Randall White says, "I feel it is important to get this information out to the public as quickly as possible due to the fact there are possibly multiple victims.  It is also troubling to know that Mr. Edwards is hiding at an unknown location and could be victimizing other children.  Locking him up is a priority for us right now and any help from the public is greatly appreciated.  Please remember, you can remain anonymous".
